INTERVIEW
Fell Silent

How did you all meet? We all came from other bands, but some of us had been jamming together for a long time before, we mainly met each other through our local music scene or friend of a friends, it just happened.

How did you come up with your band name? We're were sitting in a living room trying to decide what the fuck to call our band when i picked up a book off the side (i really wish i had remembered what the book was) and flicked to a random page, the last line read "and as she entered, the room fell silent", and there it was.

Whats your favourite feature/place, in Luton? Im sure we wont be offending anyone when we say we're not too keen on Luton as a town, but obviously the Student Union is our favorite place to be in Luton, its always great to play there and the crowd are awsome.

Where's the best place you have performed? Hmm, we've enjoyed allot of gigs, when you've played this many they all seem to moosh into one, but i'd have to say my personal favorite was at the Cockpit in Leeds with Bring Me The Horizon, the crowd went fucking nuts for us, there were people jumping off the walls, safe!

What local bands do you like performing with and why? Theres so many good local bands withing Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes, it would be hard to choose.

How many times a week do you have band practice? We used to rehearse alot but now that we're concentrating on just doing tours we'll only practice hard for a few days before the tour starts, we're also mostly writing our album at the moment, so its kinda quiet.

When you write your songs what influences you to write them? We have a very computer based style of song writing, we tend to piece the song together using riffs we have recorded, when we like the layout we layer some vocals over it, then we jam it live, mabey change it a bit until we're happy, its quite an odd process. If you read into our songs carefuly you can probabaly pick out the main themes, alot of songs are written about things most people wouldnt understand, some are as basic as escaping through drugs and alcohol and some are about this crap country and the crap people within it.

Who is the youngest member and the oldest member of your band? Youngest is 16, oldest is 21, I wont say who, you'll be suprised.

Whats the best thing about being in a band? Doing what you love with your best friends, and when you see someone really enjoying the set its the best feeling in the world.

And finally...

Where do you see your band in the future? Involved in a major pile-up on the M1.
