INTERVIEW
Miller from Imicus

1. When you write your songs what influences you to write them?
Lyrically I write about life experience. The musical side of things comes from whatever feels natural. We have a range of influences between all the band members which then drives the variety in our material.

2. How did you all meet?
Matt, Codi and Alex all went to music college together while I met Dan when we formed Dilate (our former band). Then I joined Imicus then Dan heard the potential of the demo's I was sent and followed shortly after.

3. How did you come up with your band name?
It has a rough Latin meaning: "An attack of the mind" - essentially it wasn't used anywhere else and allows our music to define the name rather than the name defining what we play or our style. People don't know what to expect from us before they hear us.

4. Whats your favourite feature/place, in Luton?
Kenilworth Road! We like our footie. Then in the future it will be a brand spanking new purpose built gig venue with a stage as wide as the eye could see. One day the Council will pull their finger out and buy out the company that owns the old cinema.

5. Where's the best place you have performed?
For me it was Southampton Joiner's because the venue is cool. Great stage and great crowd - the crowd really makes it for us - which is why we like playing Luton too.

6. What local bands do you like performing with and why?
Novocaine - because they have a similar style and are nice guys. There is nothing that frustrates us more than playing on a bill with bands whose style doesn't mix well with ours.

7. How many times a week do you have band practise?
Twice. One is a rehearsal or live Jam night and the second is a studio recording session or a band meeting.

8. Who is the youngest member and the oldest member of your band?
I'm the oldest. But not by much I'll add. dunno about the youngest!

9.Whats the best thing about being in a band?
Mates - we are really tight little unit and its cool being able to share the high's and the odd low with them all.

10. Where do you see your band in the future?
Making music we like and not giving two shits if anyone else does.
